Multigas is subject to a number of rigorous regulations and certifications, including OHSAS 18000 (Occupational Health and Safety Advisory Services), HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems, among others. The increased emphasis on IT security, systems compliance, disaster recovery planning, and overall good governance has led Multigas to seek a reliable IT Services partner. A new IT roadmap
In 2019, the Multigas team began working with ICT to develop a new technology roadmap for the business. By engaging with ICT’s vCIOs at C level, Multigas is able to explain the business priorities and requirements and have them effectively translated into technology need.

The roadmap delivered in quarterly sessions with the ICT team, with monthly updates to ensure the key strategic initiatives are on track, on budget & in line with what Multigas ultimately needs.
These sessions, along with Multigas’s internal culture of continuous improvement have been the catalyst for change touching all areas of the organisation, from collaboration, to security, to modernisation of critical plant and manufacturing systems – allowing the Multigas team to focus on their core business.
Improved day-to-day support
The support desk services delivered by ICT Solutions are a huge improvement on the previous supplier. Clear structured responses and detailed documentation of Multigas’s systems means that the ICT team can become an extension of Multigas when working on issues.

The structured approach to support that ICT delivers has helped Multigas to improve their internal processes around change management through the raising of support tickets.
Business continuity and disaster recovery
One of the first actions from the roadmap was to enhance Multigas’s business continuity and disaster recovery plans and develop a structured plan to ensure the business could continue to operate whatever disruption it faced. ICT helped with scenario planning to help ensure comprehensive plans are in place.
Another important element of BCDR is rigorous and consistent testing. Without testing, any BCDR plan is worthless – because you cannot be certain it will work the way it should if and when you need it. Working with Multigas on rigorous testing has helped to ensure effective BCDR.
